Kenneth Gettinger — Chairman

In 2000, Kenneth Gettinger started KPG with the goal of raising assets for quality alternative investment managers. As Chairman, Ken recruited and built a highly qualified team, which has subsequently evolved the firm into a diversified hedge fund and real estate/private equity consultancy business. While KPG Capital Partners has expanded to real estate, private equity, and a broadening range of hedge funds, what has not changed is Ken’s focus of gaining a comprehensive understanding of the client’s investment goals and process requirements.

Mr. Gettinger began his career in 1980 as a currency trader for Drexel Burnham Lambert. He subsequently held the position of Senior Marketing Director and Head of Foreign Exchange and Commodities Sales and Trading at the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) for the America’s. During his tenure at UBS, Mr. Gettinger was responsible for the creation and risk management of the bank’s fund of funds program for commodity trading advisors and hedge funds. In 1998, following his 10-year career at UBS, he joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as a Principal and Global Head of Foreign Exchange with responsibility for developing the firm’s worldwide Foreign Exchange business.
